Im currently learning to use Adobe Photoshop V.9 CS2 but id like to learn some of the tutorials while im at home. Are there any sites which can help a newbie such as myself learn a few general things? Like Palattes, adjusting images and so on?

Keep in mind that most things do not change from one release to the next. The basics always are the same. New versions include something that previous versions did not have. So, any tutorial for Photoshop will benefit you.
